How do I redeem an iTunes gift card code?

To redeem an iTunes gift card on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

On your device, open the iTunes Store app.

Scroll to the bottom of the Featured section and tap Redeem.

Sign in with your Apple ID.

Tap “You can also enter the code manually.”

Enter the 16-digit code, which begins with an X and can be retrieved from the My Game Cards page.

Tap Redeem. Your iTunes account balance will automatically update after a successful redemption.

To redeem an iTunes gift card on a Mac:

Launch iTunes.

Tap Sign In. Then enter your Apple ID and password.

Tap your name. Select Redeem from the menu.

Enter your password again.

Enter the 16-digit code, which begins with an X and can be retrieved from the My Game Cards page.

Tap Redeem. Your iTunes account balance will automatically update after a successful redemption.
